This web site exists as a memorial to an extremely extensive project to remove control of the Internet from profit making corporations and government control subsidiaries.  Sadly "they" have won through use of brut force, malic and closed conference.  The public is the ultimate loser. Good luck with the "supposed" public ICANN and the "very closed" auDA.

These pages are rarely updated because the content is current. (22/06/01)

The Australian Root Server Confederation was founded by Adam Todd in February 1997 and consists of members made up of users and ISPs world wide.  Users and ISPs were expected to be mainly within Australia, but International take up far exceeded expectations.

Because of the global coverage IRSC was founded in February 1998 to allow better Regionalisation of the Root Server Network.  There are a number of members.   See the IRSC Web Site for details.

AURSC synchronises it's data with IRSC members.
